Sharing of nebulisation accessories such as a face mask or mouthpiece is an unhygienic practice with high-risk potential for spreading infection. Using your own personal face mask or mouthpiece reduces this risk of infection. Therefore, we call on every healthcare professional to promote and emphasise on the judicious use of nebulisation therapy through adherence to GNP at every step of the treatment.

Considering the pandemic, under this campaign, every doctor, paramedic, patient and caregiver must adopt and follow four key behaviours while performing nebulisation:

Safety First: Wear appropriate gear during nebulisation.

Refuse to Reuse: Encourage single-use nebulisation.

Mind the Gap: Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet during nebulisation.

Sanitise to Nebulise: Sanitise the nebulisation area with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
